Give the gift of Christmas

Season’s Greetings,

What a wonderful time of year.  Everywhere you look the lights, decorations, and music are there to fill us with joy and remind us of the many blessings we have in our lives.  Unfortunately, for some parents it is a reminder that they cannot provide presents for their children this year.  This is the case for the families in our Child & Family Development Program.  We have 36 families that need our help to make Christmas happen in their house this year.

We are looking for sponsors for each of these families.  If you sponsor a family you will receive their wish list with clothes sizes and needs.  We ask that you purchase a couple of items per person.  Please include the parents.  Family sizes range from one parent and child to five family members.  What a gift – actually providing Christmas for an entire family.  Please consider joining with your family, small group or co-workers to make this a reality for our D&M family.

BBQ with a purpose

 

This is a great opportunity to host a fun event for your family and friends that will make a difference for the impoverished families Dinner & A Movie mentors. The goal is to raise money and awareness, while enjoying time with each other.

The idea is simple…

You choose a date and location

You cook and serve a meal (we will have menu options)

You invite your friends and family

Attendees will make a minimum donation

We will show a short video with testimonial about D&M and answer questions

Everybody will have a fun time!

Impoverished families will benefit!

This is a real low key way to raise some money and awareness for Dinner & A Movie. Please contact jen@dinnerandamoviepdx.com for information on how to host or where you can attend one. I would be happy to talk with you about it one on one.
